In referral to the influx of bots...

Here are signs to look at BEFORE adding them!

1. Check for a private profile and/or an anime character for a profile picture. All bots will have one of these schemes.
2. If it is a public profile, check for a really cheap ass game that is like $1, also the anime picture as well.
3. If it has no alias or has an alias [UNASSIGNED], that mofo is a bot.
4. Check their friends, and if any of them have the above characteristics, that mofo a bot.

Signs that they are AFTER adding them!

1. They send a message about trading, and some link appearing to be the steamcommunity. **(WARNING)** This is not a steamcommunity link and is in fact a phishing link, clicking this will result in a loss of your inventory or account!
2. Very horrible grammar and word choice in the immediate message.
3. ANY GIANT BLOCK OF TEXT THEY SEND RIGHT AFTER ADDING YOU BASICALLY SIGNIFIES THEM AS A BOT.

ENJOY

(For an explanation, these bots may be befriending you through your other friends, or another reason... Some of my fellow colleagues believe they have access to a database, allowing them to friend people with ease, and hope they are stupid enough to go through with the phishing.)
